Sonu Sood Slams Kangana’s Remarks on Gen Z, Says ‘Public Is Another Form of God’
Mumbai: Actor Sonu Sood has strongly criticised BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut over her controversial comments on Gen Z protesters, describing the alleged remarks as “very shameful.”
Speaking to reporters, Sonu Sood said,”If she has said that, then I think it is very shameful. It should not have been said.” Stressing the importance of responsible public discourse, he added, “There is a saying, ‘Tol mol ke bol.’ It is very important to think carefully before you speak because the public is another form of God.”
Highlighting the significance of public support, Sonu said success in any profession depends on the trust and affection of people. “Whether you are an actor, a doctor or in any other profession, your existence has meaning only as long as people are connected with you. As long as they stand by you, you will continue to thrive. If they are not with you, it becomes difficult. That’s why everyone should be taken along,” he said.
The remarks come amid an ongoing controversy over Kangana Ranaut’s social media posts in which she criticised some Gen Z protesters and referred to them as “Generation Gutter.” Her comments have sparked widespread reactions, with political leaders, celebrities, and social media users expressing differing views.
