Poonch, J & K : Security forces on Saturday averted a possible tragedy by busting a suspected terror hideout in the Draba area of Surankote sector in Poonch district and recovering explosives and ammunition.

Officials said a joint operation was launched by 16 Rashtriya Rifles, SOG Bufliaz and 38 Battalion CRPF in Draba after receiving specific intelligence inputs.

During the search operation, the forces recovered one gamla-type IED, one gool-type IED, four small IEDs, a Motorola wireless set and seven AK-47 rounds.

Search operations in the area were continuing, with further details awaited officials said.
