Jammu Kashmir : At least 15 people sustained injuries after a staff bus belonging to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) was involved in a road accident in the Jhajjar Kotli area of Jammu district on Friday.

According to officials, the incident is suspected to have occurred due to a brake failure while the bus was travelling through the Jhajjar Kotli area.

Following the accident, all the injured passengers were evacuated and taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Officials said further information, including details about the condition of those injured and the exact circumstances surrounding the accident, is awaited.
