TIGER SHROFF FIRING CASE : 3 SUSPECTS IN MUMBAI POLICE CUSTODY, INTENSIVE INTERROGATION AHEAD
Kota: Mumbai Police has taken custody of three suspects arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, in connection with the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai.
A local court granted the Mumbai Police a 48-hour transit remand, authorising the transfer of the accused to Mumbai for further investigation. The suspects are expected to face detailed questioning as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine their alleged roles in the case.
Kota Additional Superintendent of Police Subhash Chandra Mishra said the three accused were produced before the competent court following their arrest, after which the transit remand was granted and they were handed over to the Mumbai Police team.
Explaining why the suspects remained in Kota overnight, Mishra said the decision was taken considering the long journey and the extended interrogation conducted by the police. Security concerns and the need to avoid travelling at night were also taken into account.
He added that Kota Police would extend security support to the Mumbai Police team as required, including assistance during transit up to the state border or for any additional distance requested.
Earlier, Mumbai Police adopted an alternative strategy, reportedly referred to as ‘Plan B’, to secure the three suspects. They were kept overnight at the Railway Colony police station in Kota.
Visuals from the police station showed heightened security, with personnel from the Mumbai Police Crime Branch and Rajasthan Police maintaining a security cordon around the premises.
The accused are now being taken to Mumbai, where further interrogation is expected to shed light on the firing incident and the possible involvement of others in the case.
