Beerwah, Jammu & Kashmir : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday visited the flash flood-affected areas of Beerwah in Budgam district to take first-hand stock of the damage caused by the recent heavy rains. He conducted an on-ground assessment of the affected localities, reviewed the relief measures underway and interacted with residents to understand their concerns.

Expressing solidarity with the affected families, the Chief Minister assured them of all possible assistance from the Government. He directed the district administration to expedite damage assessment, provide immediate relief to those affected and ensure that essential services are restored without delay.

Omar Abdullah said the Government stands firmly with the people during this difficult time and will leave no stone unturned in extending timely relief, rehabilitation and support. He instructed officials to remain on the ground, closely monitor the situation and respond swiftly to the needs of the affected population.

The Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of coordinated efforts by all departments to minimise hardship and ensure that relief reaches every deserving family in the flood-hit areas at the earliest.
