SPECIAL STORY -Tech Neck, Eye Strain & Burnout : The Future of Influencers by 2050

New York : Social media influencers and content creators may appear glamorous today, but experts warn that years of creating content and spending countless hours in front of screens could take a serious toll on their health and appearance.

According to a report by the New York Post, experts from gambling website Casino. org have developed an AI-generated model named “Eva” to visualize what a typical content creator might look like by 2050 if current lifestyle habits continue.

The AI model depicts a person with visible skin damage, a hunched posture, chronic neck pain, swollen facial features, thinning hair, and signs of physical exhaustion caused by prolonged smartphone use and constant exposure to ring lights.

Experts say that while content creation may be an attractive career, the pressure to stay relevant, keep up with algorithms, and produce continuous online content can have significant long-term effects on both physical and mental health.Medical findings cited in the report suggest that excessive smartphone use can lead to “tech neck”,a condition caused by constantly bending the neck while looking at screens, which may result in chronic neck pain, spinal problems, and musculoskeletal disorders.

The AI model also highlights digital eye strain or computer vision syndrome, a condition linked to prolonged screen exposure that can affect vision over time.

Researchers further claim that cosmetic procedures such as repeated facial fillers, often used to maintain an online appearance, may eventually alter facial structure, causing swollen cheeks, an unnatural chin, and other changes. Long working hours, reportedly reaching up to 90 hours a week for some influencers, combined with a sedentary lifestyle, poor posture, and continuous screen exposure, could also contribute to hair loss, fatigue, and other health issues.

Experts say the AI model is intended to raise awareness about the potential long-term consequences of excessive digital lifestyles and encourage content creators to adopt healthier work habits, including regular breaks, proper posture, eye care, and a better work-life balance.
