Pulwama, J & K : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama Sahil Sarangal-IPS on Monday chaired a Public Darbar at Wanpora, Newa, providing residents an opportunity to raise their local issues, grievances and concerns directly with the police administration.

During the interaction, residents highlighted various issues concerning public safety, security and other matters affecting the local community.

The SSP gave a patient hearing to the participants and assured them that their genuine concerns would be examined and addressed in a timely manner in coordination with the concerned authorities.

SSP Sahil Sarangal stressed the importance of strong police-public cooperation in maintaining peace, security and a safe environment in the district.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly share information about suspicious activities or developments with the police.

The SSP also called for collective efforts to combat drug abuse and other social evils, emphasising that the active participation of families, community members and youth is essential to protect society from the growing threat of substance abuse.

During the event, SSP Pulwama felicitated three local students who successfully qualified the NEET examination, lauding their hard work, dedication and academic achievement.

He congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue pursuing their educational goals with determination and contribute positively to society.

The Public Darbar reflected the police administration’s continued emphasis on community engagement and strengthening the bond of trust between the police and the people.
