Gujarat : A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted at her neighbour’s house. Police have arrested the accused, 34-year-old Imtiyaz Sheikh, after the victim’s family filed a complaint.
According to the complaint, the incident occurred after the girl was asked to come to the neighbour’s house to make tea. She returned the next day and disclosed the incident to her family.
The 13-year-old didn’t go home till few hours after which her mother went to Sheikh’s house to bring her back home. The girl didn’t speak anything about the happening, but the next day she spoke it out.
Following the confession, parents of the victim lodged a complaint against Imtiyaz Sheikh. The accused was arrested after the complaint. Police has registered a case against the man under the relevant provisions of law.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of law. Investigation is ongoing.
