Anantnag, J & K : A full dress rehearsal for the upcoming 80th Independence Day celebrations was held today at Shaheed Humayun Muzammil Government Degree College, Khanabal Anantnag, with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
ADC Anantnag Shri Vikas Ahlawat, accompanied by SP Headquarters Anantnag Shri Sunny Gupta, inspected the parade and took the salute at the impressive march past presented by contingents of J&K Police, IRP, Women Police, CRPF, SOG, SPOs, Home Guards and students from various educational institutions.
The well coordinated march past showcased discipline, unity and the spirit of patriotism, reflecting the preparedness for the national celebration.
The rehearsal was followed by a vibrant cultural programme, wherein school students and local artists presented colourful performances on patriotic themes, celebrating the spirit of nationalism and the rich cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
The full dress rehearsal provided a glimpse of the arrangements and programmes planned for the main Independence Day function scheduled to be held on August 15, 2026.
The event was attended by senior officers of the district administration and police, besides officials from various departments, participating contingents, students and members of the public.
