Senior police officers assess deployment, preparedness and security arrangements in challenging terrain
Srinagar, J & K : Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Wednesday inspected Temporary Operating Bases established along the northern slopes of the Pir Panjal range and reviewed their operational functioning, officials said.
The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi, along with Rajiv Pandey, Hariprasad K.K., SSP Budgam and other police officers during the visit. During the inspection, the senior officers evaluated the deployment of personnel, operational preparedness and existing security arrangements at the strategically located bases.
The review also covered field level coordination, response preparedness and measures to strengthen security operations in the challenging terrain. Officials said Prabhat was briefed about the difficulties faced by personnel stationed at the bases and examined steps being taken to maintain round-the-clock vigilance and ensure effective operations.
The DGP also interacted with officers and personnel deployed on the ground and discussed measures to further enhance their operational capabilities. The visit comes as security agencies continue to strengthen their presence, coordination and preparedness in vulnerable and strategically sensitive areas across Jammu and Kashmir.
