May be disqualified from becoming an MLA
Ahmedabad, Gujarat : Thus, a sword is seen hanging over the MLA post of Aam Aadmi Party leader and MLA Chaitar Vasava. The Gujarat High Court has refused to grant relief to Chaitar Vasava. The High Court has rejected both the petitions of AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava. It is worth mentioning here that the Gujarat High Court has delivered the verdict after a long hearing.
In this matter, the Gujarat High Court has upheld the verdict of the lower court. The Gujarat High Court said that granting relief to Chaitar Vasava will send a wrong message to the society. In such a situation, now that the sentence has been more than 2 years, Chaitar Vasava’s MLA post may be cancelled.
It is worth mentioning here that the Narmada court has sentenced 9 people, including Aam Aadmi Party MLA Chaitar Vasava from Dediapada, to seven years in prison. In such a situation, his MLA post is at risk. To save this, Chaitar Vasava applied to the High Court to get bail. Apart from this, in another petition, Narmada had sought a stay on the court’s decision. Now, with both these petitions being rejected by the High Court, Chaitar Vasava’s problems have increased.
Meanwhile, AAP’s Gujarat state president Isudan Gadhvi has hit out at the BJP government over the rejection of bail for MLA Chaitar Vasava. He alleged that the BJP does not want to see the leadership of the tribal community strengthen and Chaitar Vasava has been sent to jail due to anti-tribal mentality.
Isudan Gadhvi said that he has been falsely implicated in the glass dispute against Chaitar Vasava and also in the case with the forest department employee. He claimed that Chaitar Vasava has not committed any bootlegging, but has raised his voice for the rights of the people of Gujarat and the tribal community.
Gadhvi further said that Chaitar Vasava chose to fight for the community and did not choose to join the BJP. He claimed that the tribal community from Umargam to Ambaji will answer the BJP in the 2027 assembly elections.
Expressing hope that Chaitar Vasava will get justice, Yesudaan Gadhvi said that AAP will appeal in the higher court in this matter. He said that the party will continue the legal fight and try to get justice for Chaitar Vasava.
