Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Gujarat Delegation arrives in Canada

Traditional Welcome at Toronto Airport Followed by a Welcome Gathering Hosted by Friends of Gujarat-Canada

Gandhinagar, Gujarat : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel stated that people of Gujarat carry the culture and spirit of Gujarat wherever they settle.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel addressed a gathering hosted by Friends of Gujarat-Canada to welcome him and the Gujarat delegation.
Following the successful conclusion of its U.S. visit, the Gujarat delegation led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel arrived in Canada on Sunday. At Toronto Airport, the Chief Minister was accorded a traditional welcome by Gujarati community leaders and the Consulate General of India.
Interacting with the Gujarati community at the gathering, the Chief Minister highlighted Gujarat’s journey from its early days to becoming a key growth engine of the country. He said that when Gujarat became a separate State in 1960, basic facilities such as roads, village electricity and water were inadequate.
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat overcame these challenges and emerged as a key growth engine of the country under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the ambitious, development-oriented vision of Narendra Modi has enabled Gujarat to achieve remarkable progress.

CM further said that every Gujarati can take pride in the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who hails from Gujarat, has been accorded the highest honours in every country he has visited as Prime Minister. He added that the Indian passport has gained greater recognition globally, along with a significant positive change in perceptions of Indians and Gujaratis.
Highlighting Gujarat’s holistic development before members of the Federation of Gujarat-Canada, the Chief Minister said that Gujarat and development have now become synonymous. He said that six semiconductor plants have been established in the State, while the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit has helped attract increasing investments to Gujarat.
CM congratulated and lauded the Gujarati community for its significant contribution to Canada’s economic growth.
He also urged Gujarati entrepreneurs in Canada to invest in Gujarat and contribute to the State that remains connected to their roots.
CM extended an invitation to the Gujarati community in Canada to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2027.
