New Delhi : The BJP is now going to change the way it campaigns to increase its grip on the youth and strengthen its reach on social media. The party will run a campaign to share reels and videos related to its workers on social media. A target of making 10 reels at each power center level has been set. The Chief Minister will also share these reels.
Keeping in mind the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to completely change the way it campaigns. To connect directly with the youth, the party will now move beyond traditional banners-posters and focus on social media and small videos (Reels). For this, it is preparing to make everyone active on social media, from workers to big leaders.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is starting from September 17. Through this month-long campaign, BJP will trial its digital campaign. For the first time, the party has made it mandatory for its workers to make reels and share them on social media. BJP has more than 27 thousand Shakti Kendras in Uttar Pradesh. The organization has assigned the responsibility of making 10 reels to each Shakti Kendra.
The workers will talk to the common people and those who have benefited from government schemes. The reel will tell about their name, district, name of the scheme and the changes they have made in their lives. 25 thousand best stories will be selected from these reels of about 1 minute. The party will save these selected videos in its digital data bank so that they can be used during elections.
BJP has also decided to involve its ministers in this campaign. Each minister is expected to share at least two stories every day and the Chief Minister is expected to share a two to five minute resolution regularly. Teams will be formed at the state and district levels to monitor the entire campaign. The party will prepare its own digital data bank in each district along with the state level.
For the first time, the BJP has made it mandatory to make reels in the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan programs. The party believes that social media is the most effective medium among the youth. This is why it is preparing to take digital campaigning to the booth and power center level before the elections. Overall, the BJP’s plan is to spread the work of the workers, government schemes and the benefits received by the people through small videos (reels) on social media. Through this, the party is preparing a strong and effective network of online campaigning for the 2027 assembly elections.
