New Delhi : On Monday, Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with more than a dozen ministers of state and ministers with independent charge. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s Office (Seva Tirth), lasted for more than three hours. During the meeting, the ministers presented details of reforms, initiatives and work done in their respective ministries to the Prime Minister.
According to sources, in the meeting, PM Modi urged the state ministers to complete projects and programmes on time, ensure quality of work and maintain transparency.
In this meeting, the ministers were called upon to ensure that the benefits of central government schemes reach the beneficiaries, so that the targeted beneficiaries get direct benefits. Sources say this was the first such meeting, as no cabinet ministers or top bureaucrats were involved.
According to reports, PM Modi held the first round of meetings with ministers of state. Ministers of state representing departments like agriculture, education, rural development and social justice attended the meeting. The meeting was held after recent meetings with various empowered groups of secretaries on issues related to good governance, security, agriculture, rural development and infrastructure.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate development projects worth ₹35,000 crore to the nation and inaugurate the Global Fintech Fest during his visit to Gujarat and Maharashtra today. According to an official statement, PM Modi will first go to Vadodara, where he will lay the foundation stone of various development projects, inaugurate them and dedicate them to the nation. He will also address a gathering on the occasion.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Today I will attend events in Vadodara, Navsari and Mumbai. These include the inauguration or foundation stone laying of major projects worth over ₹35,000 crore and the dedication of three major sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor to the nation. This will give a big boost to the logistics sector.” He said he will also attend the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai.
