New Delhi : India has joined the United States and 24 other nations in an initiative to shape the development of next-generation 6G networks.

Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, met with US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick during the G20 Innovation Ministerial, where the two discussed the future of 6G technology.

In a post on X, the US Department of Commerce stated, “We are pleased to announce today that India has joined the US and 24 other nations in this effort to ensure that next-generation networks address our shared security concerns, strengthen our competitiveness, and foster innovation in 6G.”

This development comes as the G20 Summit is underway in Miami, USA, where Minister of State for Commerce Jitin Prasada participated in the ministerial meeting.
