Srinagar, J & K : Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General NS Raja Subramani visited the Kashmir Valley to review the prevailing security situation, operational preparedness and deployment posture of security forces across forward areas and the hinterland.

During his visit, the CDS interacted with personnel from all three services and extended warm Diwali greetings to troops deployed in forward areas.

General Raja Subramani lauded the personnel for their unwavering commitment, professionalism and dedication towards safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and maintaining a robust security grid in the challenging terrain and demanding conditions of the Valley.

He appreciated the steadfast efforts of the troops who remain deployed in difficult operational environments to ensure the country’s security.

The visit highlighted the importance of operational readiness, jointness among the three services and continued vigilance to maintain a strong security posture in the region.
