Srinagar, J & K : National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams on Saturday conducted searches at multiple residential premises across Bandipora, Kulgam and Sopore in connection with NIA Case FIR No. RC-02/2026/NIA/JMU.

In Bandipora district, searches were conducted at the residential premises of Zeeshan Rafeeq Mir, son of Mohd. Rafeeq, a resident of Naz Colony, Bandipora; Ashraf Nazir Bhat, son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Dardpora Arin; Showkat Ahmad Khatana, son of Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Tanghat, Pethkoot; and Bilal Ahmad Guroo, son of late Mohd. Subhan Guroo, a resident of Bazar Mohallah, Naidkhai, Sumbal.

Meanwhile, in Sopore, an NIA team conducted a search at the residential house of Gh. Mohd. Tantary, son of late Abdul Ahad Tantary, a resident of Gund Brath, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore.

Another search was conducted at the residential house of Shabnum, wife of Tawseef Ahmad Dar and daughter of Mohd. Akbar Bhat, a resident of Teliyaan Mohalla, Arampora, and presently residing at Gousia Abad. The team was reportedly headed by Inspector Jaswer Singh.

Searches were also carried out at several locations in Kulgam district as part of the ongoing investigation into the case.

The NIA teams were assisted by local police and security personnel during the search operations.

The searches are part of the ongoing investigation in NIA Case RC-02/2026/NIA/JMU. Further details regarding the case and the outcome of the searches are awaited.
