Jammu Kashmir : The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday apprehended a Pakistani national near the International Border in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, officials said.
According to reliable sources, personnel of the 82 Battalion BSF, deployed at Border Out Post (BOP) Bobiya, apprehended a male Pakistani national, aged around 60–65 years, at approximately 7:45 am near Mount No. 23 of BOP Bobiya.
Sources said the intruder had reportedly attempted to cross into Indian territory from the Tarnah Nallah area. BSF troops detected and intercepted him before he could proceed further, thereby foiling the suspected infiltration attempt.
The apprehended person has been taken into custody for questioning. Further details regarding his identity, the circumstances of his crossing and the purpose of his presence in the area are awaited.
