Uttarakhand : Indian and US Army troops carried out joint training drills in jungle warfare indoor firing and rock face rappelling during Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026
The exercise involved soldiers from the Indian Army’s Garhwal Regiment and the US Army’s 11th Airborne Division, who trained together in challenging terrain to enhance operational coordination and interoperability.
Operating in integrated squads, the troops practised movement through dense vegetation, engaged simulated targets using training ammunition and carried out combined small unit tactical drills.
The joint training also included rock face rappelling, helping the participating troops hone their skills in negotiating difficult terrain and operating effectively in mountainous environments.
Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2026 continues to strengthen the operational understanding and interoperability between the Indian and US armies through realistic and integrated training.
