Karnataka Man Found Dismembered in Car
New Delhi : Karnataka-origin man Alvin Prakash Kundar, who had reportedly been working at Sharjah Airport for 14 years, was allegedly murdered in the UAE in July, with his body later discovered dismembered and placed inside a parked car, turning the case into a chilling mystery for his family. According to details shared by his brother Anil Prashant Kundar, Alvin, a native of Kundapura in Udupi, suddenly became unreachable in July.
When Anil called him on July 20, he received only a brief message saying that Alvin was fine, which reportedly appeared unusual to the family. A week later, another call went unanswered, prompting Anil to contact Alvin’s friend Manohar in Sharjah.
When Manohar visited the company accommodation, a security guard reportedly said Alvin had returned to India, while the company’s HR department initially gave a similar account. However, after Anil informed the company that his brother had not returned to India, the company checked Alvin’s passport and reportedly found that he was still in Sharjah. A missing-person report was subsequently filed, and investigators reportedly discovered Alvin’s remains inside a car parked on a road towards Oman. His body had allegedly been cut into nine pieces and placed inside two bags. The family reportedly received the post-mortem report on Monday and subsequently approached Udupi Police. The circumstances and motive behind the alleged murder remain unclear, and further investigation by Sharjah authorities is awaited.
Alvin’s wife Tina, a schoolteacher, and their son, reportedly a Class 10 student, are also said to be missing, according to reports cited by the family. Anil has raised questions about CCTV footage that allegedly showed two men and a woman leaving a building, but the identities and involvement of these individuals have not been established. The family is seeking clarity on what happened to Alvin, his wife and son, while authorities continue to investigate the case and establish the sequence of events.
