Delhi Police tightens security for Jantar Mantar protest
New Delhi : In view of the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) announcement to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10, the Delhi Police has put in place extremely stringent security arrangements.
Neither leaders nor supporters of the CJP organization or the Aam Aadmi Party will be granted permission to protest in the New Delhi district.

Since Thursday night, the Delhi Police has begun detaining leaders and their active supporters across the city.
Police have taken a large number of people into preventive custody from three districts across the Yamuna, as well as from the South, South-East, and Outer North districts.
Saurabh Das and Saurabh Bhardwaj have claimed via posts on ‘X’ since yesterday that their respective supporters are being detained; the Delhi Police has confirmed the validity of these claims.

The police are keeping a close watch on Muslim-majority areas and Valmiki colonies localities where many active Aam Aadmi Party leaders reside and individuals have been detained from these areas.
Meanwhile, personnel at all police stations have been instructed to visit temples, mosques, and other locations within their jurisdictions to meet with residents and urge them not to go to Jantar Mantar or engage in any illegal activities.
