New Delhi : Union Home Minister Amit Shah has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the issue of the SIR (Special Investment Region). He stated that Rahul Gandhi is attempting to shield infiltrators under the guise of the SIR. The people of the country have fully understood this strategy of his and will no longer be swayed by his misleading tactics. Shah remarked that Rahul Gandhi and his associates must realize that the public has recognized their true intentions.
Amit Shah also took a dig at the Congress regarding the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. He said that Rahul Gandhi and his associates should prepare themselves for another crushing defeat. Shah claimed that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would return to power with a massive majority in the 2029 general elections. He added that the Congress would face defeat in the elections for the fourth consecutive time.
Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Ever since Rahul Gandhi emerged as the principal leader of the Congress, the party has been continuously losing elections. You cannot become the voice of the nation simply by mobilizing the cadres of 14 parties and gathering a crowd of 8,000 people in a 1.5-kilometer area.” He stated that the negative politics the Congress party continues to engage in today will yield them no benefit. “Rahul Gandhi, the people of India are no longer going to fall for your ruses.”
Amit Shah said, “Elections for three municipalities and municipal corporations were held in Gujarat today. The BJP has achieved a resounding victory, winning 90 out of a total of 104 seats across these two municipalities and one municipal corporation. In the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation, the BJP won 38 out of 44 seats.” “The AAP contested 32 seats and forfeited its security deposit on every single one of them. The voters of Gujarat stand like a rock behind Prime Minister Modi. I would like to point out that even after 41 years, the Congress has not won a single election here.”
The Home Minister said, “I want to ask Rahul Gandhi: is this the result of ‘SIR’? You dismiss Prime Minister Modi’s popularity by attributing it to ‘SIR’. This is a time for introspection for them. By-elections were held in three states (West Bengal, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu), and the Congress failed to secure even a single seat there.” He added that the BJP achieved a resounding victory in the local body elections in Rajasthan. This election serves as a lesson for Rahul Gandhi.
The BJP leader noted that village committee elections were held in Tripura. The NDA succeeded in winning over 4,000 seats comprising 3,248 seats and another 900 seats securing a total vote share of 77.5%. He said, “To those who cite voting machines [EVMs] as a factor, I want to point out that these elections were conducted using ballot papers. If the argument is that voting machines help the BJP win elections, then this election refutes that claim.”
