New Delhi : A major claim has come to light in a report by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) regarding the deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort in November 2025. The 38th report of the UN’s Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team has officially linked this attack to Al-Qaeda (AQIS). According to the report, Al-Qaeda has made major changes in its strategy in the last few years. The report says that Al-Qaeda terrorists are now carrying out attacks with the help of small and scattered cells instead of large group attacks.

Al-Qaeda’s hand in Delhi blast

Not only this, the report also claims that Al-Qaeda has also developed logistics and financial networks. Now the UN report has stated that Al-Qaeda is behind the blast near the Red Fort. In the previous report, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was suspected to be behind the attack, as this organization also claimed responsibility for it. It is worth mentioning that on November 10, 2025, at around 7 pm, a huge explosion took place in a moving Hyundai i20 car near Metro Station No. 1 of the Red Fort. 11 people were killed in this blast, while more than two dozen people were injured.

Terrorists in the race to make biological weapons
The latest UN report has expressed concern about the growing strength of organizations affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. According to the report, both the terrorist groups have been trying to make chemical and biological weapons for a long time. However, due to technical difficulties, they have not been able to succeed in this deadly mission yet. However, the possibility cannot be ruled out that such dangerous biological weapons may also be available to the terrorists at any time.

7500-page chargesheet against 11 accused

The report also states that Al-Qaeda is trying to spread its network in India’s neighboring country Bangladesh. Let us tell you that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet of about 7500 pages against 11 accused in the Red Fort blast case in Delhi. Apart from this, more than 580 witnesses have also been listed in the chargesheet. The hearing in this matter will be held on August 27 in the Rouse Avenue Court.
