New Delhi : CISF kabaddi player Ritu Sheoran was part of the Indian women’s kabaddi team that clinched the gold medal at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi Nagoya Japan on Saturday.
Sheoran who hails from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, represented India as part of the 12 member women’s kabaddi squad at the continental sporting event. India entered the competition as defending champions after winning gold at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
The CISF congratulated Sheoran and the entire Indian women’s kabaddi team on the achievement describing the victory as a moment of pride for the Force and the country.
Sheoran’s journey from Charkhi Dadri to the Asian Games podium highlights her sporting commitment and perseverance.
Her achievement also adds to the growing contribution of CISF sportspersons to India’s international sporting success.
Kabaddi competition at the AichiNagoya Asian Games was held from September 21 to 26 at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium in Aichi Prefecture.
The CISF extended its congratulations to Sheoran her teammates and the support staff for bringing further sporting glory to India.
