Lucknow : SIT has given a clean chit to former general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Champat Rai and trust member Anil Mishra in the Ram temple prasad theft case and has not included their names as accused.
The SIT was formed by the Uttar Pradesh Home Department to investigate the Ram temple prasad theft case. The SIT has submitted its investigation report. In this report, the names of former general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Champat Rai and trust member Anil Mishra have not been mentioned as accused.
The SIT report has named only eight people involved in the theft as accused. The report names Avinash Shukla, Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Manish Kumar Yadav, Karunesh Pandey, Ramshankar Mishra, Subhash Srivastava and Ramshankar Yadav alias Tinuna as accused.
Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have resigned from their posts after the investigation of the case began. After resigning, Champat Rai has decided to start a four-month long Chaturmas meditation in Ayodhya. He will stay in Ayodhya till November 21, chanting the Ram Mantra and reciting the Ramcharitmanas. He spends about 6 hours in silent meditation every day. He has been in seclusion at Tirth Kshetra Bhavan in Ramkot since June 7.
Meanwhile, the selection process for the post of Chief Executive Officer of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya has reached its final stage. The interview process for the post has been completed. The final panel of three names has now been decided. According to sources, two well-known officials from Uttar Pradesh are leading the race for the post. Sources also suggest that Yogeshwar Ram Mishra and Rajesh Pandey are the most talked about names.
The selection process for the post of CEO of Ram Mandir has been long and rigorous. Initially, 5,585 applications were received from across the country. Out of these, 3,877 candidates submitted their detailed CVs.
