Agra: From a routine investigation to a shocking discovery . A sensational discovery during a vigilance raid has brought the alleged hidden wealth of former ARTO Lalit Kumar into the spotlight. The raid, conducted as part of a disproportionate assets investigation, reportedly uncovered a massive collection of gold, silver, cash, and property documents, leaving officials surprised.
According to officials, the vigilance team carried out a detailed search at Lalit Kumar’s residence in Chandralok Colony, Aliganj. During the operation, investigators reportedly recovered 13 kg of gold, including gold bricks, biscuits, and jewellery, along with 9 kg of silver bars and items.
A huge amount of cash was also found, with the total recovery reportedly reaching ₹1.62 crore. The seized assets have drawn significant attention, as the estimated value of the recovered valuables is said to be more than ₹20 crore. Officials are now closely examining the source of the wealth and the financial records connected to these assets. The investigation has also brought several properties under scrutiny.

Authorities reportedly found details of luxury houses, multiple plots in Aliganj, properties in other areas, and agricultural land allegedly linked to Lalit Kumar. Investigators are verifying ownership records and assessing whether these assets correspond with his declared income.
The case has created a buzz as the vigilance department continues its probe into the alleged disproportionate assets. Further action will depend on the evidence collected during the ongoing investigation.
