Srinagar, J & K : The 3 day visit og Kashmir Valley by DG Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shri G.P. Singh, IPS, chaired a high level security review meeting at GC Srinagar with senior Valley based commanders and officers.
The meeting focused on a comprehensive assessment of the prevailing security situation law and order operational preparedness and the overall security environment across the Kashmir Valley.
Senior officers briefed the CRPF chief about the situation in different parts of the Valley, deployment of personnel and emerging security challenges.

The CRPF DG directed commanders to maintain a close and continuous watch on the ground situation and ensure that peace, normalcy and a conducive environment remain intact across Kashmir.
He stressed the need for sustained preparedness to effectively respond to any emerging challenge.
Shri G.P. Singh also emphasised strengthening coordination among various security agencies and maintaining effective synergy at the operational level to deal with any attempt to disrupt peace, law and order.
The review meeting assumes significance as security agencies continue to maintain a coordinated and proactive approach towards ensuring a peaceful environment in the Valley.
The CRPF leadership reiterated the importance of professional conduct, operational readiness and close coordination among field formations to safeguard peace and stability.
The DG’s three day visit to Kashmir provided an opportunity to assess the ground situation, interact with senior commanders and review the preparedness of CRPF formations deployed across the Valley.
The CRPF remains committed to maintaining peace, strengthening security and contributing towards a safe and stable environment for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
