Sopore, J & K : Rusted rounds were recovered during drainage clearance work in the Latishot area of Bomai in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday, officials said.

The material was found during drainage clearance work being carried out by the JCP, following which Bomai Police were informed.

A police team soon reached the spot and took the recovered rounds into custody for examination and necessary action.

Police said the recovered material has been taken for further examination, while an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding its recovery.
