Srinagar, J & K : The Kashmir Youth Leadership Conclave was held on Sunday at the Country Inn Hotel and Banquet Hall in Srinagar bringing together young delegates, political leaders and speakers for an interactive discussion on issues concerning the youth and the future of Jammu and Kashmir.
The conclave featured Congress MP and party spokesperson Pawan Khera, J&K National Conference MLA Javid Hassan Baig, PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, Congress MLA from Wagoora-Kreeri Advocate Irfan Hafeez Lone and BJP representative Advocate Salman as guests.
The event provided an open platform where youth delegates directly interacted with political representatives and raised questions on a range of subjects, including youth concerns, employment and livelihoods, education, entrepreneurship, politics, governance, tourism, technology, sports and the future development of Jammu and Kashmir.
The invited speakers addressed the delegates and responded to their questions, sharing their views on contemporary political and social issues affecting young people. The interactive format allowed participants to put forward their concerns and ideas while engaging directly with representatives from different political backgrounds.
The conclave was organised by Pulwama-based social reformer Mr Salim Malik and his team, with the objective of creating a platform for meaningful youth dialogue and encouraging young people to participate in discussions concerning the region’s future.
The organisers described the conclave as a fruitful interaction between youth and political leadership, stressing the importance of dialogue, participation and constructive exchange of ideas in addressing issues faced by the younger generation.
The event was held under the theme “Our Voice, Our Kashmir, Our Future”, with the organisers seeking to encourage youth participation and dialogue on building a stronger Jammu and Kashmir.
