New Delhi : The central government has devised a new plan to win over GenZ. The Modi government is preparing a nationwide program aimed at establishing a direct connection between the government and the youth.
According to sources, the proposed initiative—titled ‘One Day, One University’—aims to strengthen the government’s engagement with young people.
During visits to universities, Union Ministers will interact with students. They will seek the students’ views on issues affecting the nation and discuss government schemes designed for students and the youth.
The government has launched this ‘One Day, One University’ initiative at a time when protests regarding the NEET paper leak case had taken place in Delhi and other states across the country.
Following the conclusion of the student protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also urged Union Ministers to connect with GenZ. The Prime Minister himself shared ‘Reels’ on the social media platform Instagram to connect with GenZ; these reels received significant support from the youth.
According to sources, Education Minister Pralhad Joshi and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya have been entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating this program involving universities and other Union Ministers.
Sources indicate that this initiative was also discussed during the Union Cabinet meeting held today, Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
