New Delhi : The ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP) has questioned a slogan used by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party leader Saurabh Das has termed the slogan, “Modi isn’t going anywhere,” as an expression of arrogance. Notably, the BJP adopted this slogan following a controversial remark made by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge during an event in Bihar. In rallies held across several locations, including Gujarat, supporters were seen carrying placards featuring this slogan.

Saurabh Das shared a post by former BJP MP Smriti Irani, commenting: “‘Modi ji isn’t going anywhere’ this might be the greatest display of arrogance by a politician regarding themselves. People do not like this. It reflects desperation, deep-seated fear, and a desire to remain in power indefinitely.”

Smriti Irani had posted a photograph on a Sunday in which she appears alongside BJP president Nitin Navin and Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary. A poster is also visible in the image, bearing the words: “Modi ji isn’t going anywhere.”

During a rally in Patna in October, Kharge had remarked, “Even Modi’s father will have to go.” While the Congress party issued a clarification regarding this statement, the BJP launched a campaign asserting that “Modi isn’t going anywhere.” Now, the CJP has also entered the fray, expressing its objection to the BJP’s slogan.

The Cockroach Janata Party had initially extended its support to the INDIA alliance rally held in the national capital, Delhi, on Sunday. The party stated that while its leadership would not personally attend the rally, it would continue to support the alliance. Several prominent leaders were present at the rally, including former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Samajwadi Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav. Abhijeet Deepke, the founder of the party, stated, “We support the protest and express our solidarity with it; however, the ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP) is an independent organization. It is a neutral platform, and we intend to keep it that way.” He added, “We will extend our support to any organization that fights against this ‘theft of votes’.” He made these remarks following a meeting with Mamata Banerjee.

He further remarked, “I simply came to thank ‘Didi’ (Mamata Banerjee) because she supported us during our initial protest at Jantar Mantar. She has always stood firmly by youth-led movements. When the Delhi Police arrested Saurabh and Ashutosh, she stood by us resolutely.”

Notably, the BJP has also announced plans to hold rallies across several states under the campaign, “Save Democracy, End Anarchy.” On Monday, BJP leader Nitin Navin will lead these rallies. A similar rally is also scheduled to take place in Bihar. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to undertake a padyatra (foot march) in Telangana. Prior to this, rallies have already been held in several states, including Delhi.

In late October, when leaders such as Nitin Navin and Delhi BJP leader Rekha Gupta held a rally in Chandni Chowk, the CJP raised questions regarding the permissions granted for the event. Ashutosh Ranka, a leader from the CJP, questioned the Delhi Police as to whether the CJP would also be permitted to hold a rally. In fact, local traders had expressed strong objections ahead of the rally that took place on Sunday.
