PM Modi hoisted the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort

New Delhi : The country is celebrating its 80th Independence Day today with immense enthusiasm and joy of patriotism. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the ceremony from the ramparts of the historic Red Fort in Delhi.

PM Modi hoisted the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort today on the 80th Independence Day. Along with the flag hoisting, the gunners of 1721 Field Battery (Ceremonial) gave a grand salute of 21 guns from indigenous 105mm Light Field Guns. This ceremonial battery was led by Major Pawan Singh Shekhawat. While Naib Subedar (Assistant Instructor in Gunnery) Anutosh Sarkar was seen in the role of Gun Position Officer. The entire Red Fort was immersed in patriotism with the sound of cannons and the national anthem.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the national anthem Vande Mataram was sung for the first time from the Red Fort. With this, the atmosphere was immersed in patriotism. PM Modi said that the beginning of an unprecedented tradition has been underlined. This is also a historic moment for all those present at this ceremony today. For the first time after independence, Vande Mataram echoed from the Red Fort on August 15. The PM described the ceremonial singing at the Red Fort on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the national anthem as a symbol of the country’s cultural pride and renaissance.

After hoisting the tricolor from the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi addressed the country. Underlining the strong wave of patriotism in the country, PM Modi said that today every heart is beating to the tune of Vande Mataram. Today, there is a tricolor in every home, a tricolor in every mind. PM Modi hailed the collective resolve of 140 crore countrymen and the spirit of national unity and said that the national flag and the chanting of Vande Mataram are uniting the entire India for the goal of a developed India 2047.

From the ramparts of the Red Fort, PM Modi emphasized on the vision of a developed India 2047. PM Modi said that today’s India has a big dream that it will become a developed India by 2047. When the world’s most populous country takes the resolve to become a developed nation, it becomes an introduction to our courage and the world is forced to see us from a different perspective. PM Modi called it a symbol of the strength and confidence of 140 crore Indians.

PM Modi gave a message to 140 crore citizens to set big national goals. PM Modi said that any country becomes great and achieves its goals only when it moves forward on the strength of its dreams, strong resolve and inner strength. Stressing on expanding the scope of thinking, PM Modi said that small dreams are no longer enough. We should dream big, because big dreams have expanded our thinking and expanded the scope of our vision. Our intentions should be firm. When the intention is strong, we automatically get the strength to move forward in the face of every difficulty and challenge. PM Modi made it clear that to realize the national vision of a developed India, the country will have to give new heights to its aspirations.

PM Modi said that in the last 12 years, the public participation of every class and community of the country has been important in the development of India. The progress of the nation is the result of the tireless hard work and unwavering dedication of every citizen of the society.

Underlining the collective strength of the countrymen, PM Modi said that in the last 12 years, countless people, be they Dalits, oppressed, marginalized, tribals, from villages or cities, poor or middle class, young or old, women or men, from North, South or East, all have tried in every possible way, with firm determination and passion, to take the country to new heights. I bow to these efforts with utmost respect. PM Modi asserted that the unity and inclusive efforts of 140 crore Indians is the greatest strength of a developed India. Which has made the country stand on the global stage with confidence and self-reliance.

PM Modi said that India is fully prepared to protect its interests and expand its capabilities. Today, every citizen of the country is accelerating the national goal of self-reliance by adopting campaigns like Make in India, Swadeshi, and Vocal for Local.
