‘Silicon to Systems’ to be This Year’s Theme
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 a pivotal event for India’s semiconductor sector at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi on September 17. This three-day event will take place from September 17 to 19, 2026. Companies, investors, policymakers, researchers, and startups associated with the global semiconductor industry will participate in the event.
More than 600 companies and delegates from 52 countries are set to participate in SEMICON India 2026. Discussions will focus on India’s capabilities in the semiconductor and electronics sectors, as well as the country’s role in the global supply chain. The event will also feature pavilions from various nations, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Sweden.
The theme for this year’s SEMICON India is ‘Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem.’ Discussions at the event will cover various stages of the semiconductor value chain. It encompasses sectors such as chip design, manufacturing, fabrication, advanced packaging, electronic systems, materials, and manufacturing equipment.
SEMICON India 2026 is being positioned as a key platform for efforts to develop India’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. The event will also facilitate discussions on fostering collaboration among the government, industry, startups, research institutions, and the academic sector.
Over 600 exhibitors and approximately 300 international companies will participate in this edition. India’s growing capabilities in the semiconductor sector will be showcased during the event. Various industry-related sessions, exhibitions, and discussions will be held over the course of three days.
Semiconductors are vital for modern electronics, mobile devices, automobiles, artificial intelligence, and numerous advanced technologies. During SEMICON India 2026, industry-level discussions will take place regarding the strengthening of India’s chip manufacturing, design, and packaging capabilities, as well as the entire semiconductor ecosystem.
