New Delhi : Rahul Gandhi made a surprise visit to the Parliament Street police station in Delhi on Friday morning. He was accompanied by Sahil Lochab, who had been injured by a pellet gun during a student protest at Jantar Mantar. Rahul Gandhi had gone there to lodge a complaint against the police personnel allegedly involved in firing the pellet gun. Sources close to Rahul Gandhi state that the police were refusing to register an FIR for Sahil; consequently, Rahul personally brought Sahil along. Rahul Gandhi has sat on a protest inside the police station itself.

Upon arriving at the station, Rahul Gandhi sought information and subsequently sat on a protest. He met with the DCP for about 40 to 45 minutes and inquired about the situation; Sahil also explained how he had been hit by the pellet gun. However, after the Delhi Police refused to register an FIR regarding the injury caused by the pellet gun, Rahul Gandhi sat on a protest outside the station.

It is reported that Rahul Gandhi has vowed to continue the protest until Sahil’s FIR regarding the pellet gun incident is registered. Sahil and his mother are also sitting on the protest alongside Rahul Gandhi. Congress MP Kumari Selja is with them, and several other Congress leaders are also present. A crowd began to gather after Rahul Gandhi’s arrival, prompting the deployment of police forces. Rahul Gandhi has been consistently raising this issue.

Essentially, Rahul Gandhi brought Sahil Lochab to the police station to seek an update on the action taken so far regarding the pellet gun incident. According to Rahul Gandhi’s sources, the police have not yet registered an FIR in the matter. He may also hold a press conference regarding this issue. It is worth noting that this matter relates to the use of a pellet gun during a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, in which 19-year-old Sahil Lochab was injured. In this situation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appears to be fully active regarding this matter.
