Reasi, J & K : Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from a hideout in the Khataji area of Mahore in Reasi district on Thursday.officials said.
The recovery was made during a joint search operation launched by the Army’s 58 Rashtriya Rifles the Special Operations Group (SOG), and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, acting on specific intelligence inputs, they said
Officials said the seized items included a pistol, an AK-47 magazine, a hand grenade, and a substantial quantity of ammunition.
The ammunition comprised 140 rounds of AK-47, 19 rounds of PIKA, and 25 rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition. Six cassettes were also recovered from the spot.
Officials said that an investigation into the matter is ongoing further details are awaited.
