New Delhi : Advanced fighter aircraft, including the US F-35, French Rafale and UAE F-16, will take part in the second edition of the Indian Air Force’s multinational exercise Tarang Shakti at Air Force Station Jodhpur, the IAF said.
The exercise will witness participation from the United States, France, Germany, Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates, with air forces from several countries joining the multinational drills.
The IAF will deploy its frontline combat fleet, including Rafale, Mirage 2000, Jaguar, Tejas, MiG-29 and Su-30MKI fighters, along with other supporting platforms.
The US is expected to participate with its F-35 stealth fighter, while France will field Rafale jets and the UAE will deploy F-16 aircraft. Bangladesh will participate with a C-130J transport aircraft, according to the IAF.
The exercise is aimed at enhancing interoperability, operational coordination and exchange of best practices among participating air forces through joint flying operations and tactical training.
The second edition of Tarang Shakti comes after the inaugural exercise held in 2024, further expanding India’s engagement with partner air forces through complex multinational aerial drills.
