Burger Video Costs CJP Spokesperson

New Delhi: A political controversy has erupted in Delhi after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) expelled its spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya and removed her from all official responsibilities following a viral video that surfaced during the party’s ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest.

According to the party, while CJP workers and supporters were on the streets protesting and allegedly facing police action, including clashes and baton charges, Dahiya was absent from the demonstration.

A video circulating on social media showed her calmly eating a burger, drawing sharp criticism from party members and supporters.

In the viral clip, Dahiya reportedly said, “Why did I eat a burger ? Because I was hungry. Protesting is not a job. Was I elected for this position ? I don’t want to get into politics.” His remarks triggered outrage within the party, with many accusing her of being insensitive to fellow protesters.

Reacting to the controversy, CJP issued an official statement on its X handle, stating that the spokesperson’s conduct was unacceptable at a time when party workers were allegedly facing police action.

The party said her actions were against the principles and spirit of the movement, and announced her immediate removal as spokesperson along with the withdrawal of all official responsibilities.

The viral video has since sparked widespread discussion on social media, with users expressing mixed reactions to both Dahiya’s comments and the party’s decision.
