New Delhi : Today is the 80th Independence Day. Then for the first time, Vande Mataram also echoed from the ramparts of the Red Fort. Vande Mataram actually has six intervals. Out of which two intervals were sung. But according to the new protocol released by the Home Ministry in 2026, there is talk of singing six intervals of Vande Mataram. The tricolor was also hoisted at the Congress headquarters on Saturday and Vande Mataram was sung on this occasion. However, some questions were also raised about it.

RP Singh asked Sonia Gandhi why there was so much hatred for Vande Mataram.
In this entire matter, Congress leaders clearly said that there was no disruption during Vande Mataram. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh clearly said that there was no dispute about Vande Mataram.
He said that a meeting of the Congress Working Committee was held in October 1937 regarding Vande Mataram. In which Gandhiji, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Chakraborty Rajagopalachari, and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru were present. In this meeting, on the advice of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, they decided that Vande Mataram would be sung in Congress sessions. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore had advised that the first lines should be used and since then our workers and everyone sings Vande Mataram in Congress sessions. There is no dispute in that
Congress leader Pawan Kheda also clarified that there was no disruption during Vande Mataram at the Congress headquarters. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has also given a clarification. He says that there is no dispute about Vande Mataram.
While BJP leader Amit Malviya also questioned it and said that after the opening verses of Vande Mataram were sung, Sonia Gandhi tried to stop it. Amit Malviya has also accused Rahul Gandhi of gesturing. He says that Rahul Gandhi also gestured to stop it.
