He expressed a firm resolve to ensure that every young citizen who has crossed the age of 18 is invariably included in the electoral roll.

As part of the extensive voter awareness campaign being conducted by the Election Commission in the state, a heartfelt appeal has been made to all sections of society including youth, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities (Divyangjan), and the LGBT community to come forward and actively participate in this great festival of democracy. To ensure the success of this nationwide campaign, over 11 lakh BLOs and 15 lakh BLAs from across the country have enthusiastically joined in, providing direct assistance to citizens at the grassroots level.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar stated that the name of every citizen in the country who has turned 18 must appear on the electoral roll. He appealed to all citizens including youth, women, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and the LGBT community to ensure they register as voters and cast their votes.

With over 1.1 million BLOs and 1.5 million BLAs participating in this nationwide campaign, citizens can check their status by downloading the ‘ECI NET App’ and entering their Voter ID number; they can also schedule a call with a BLO for assistance. If a name is missing from the electoral roll, ‘Form-6’ can be filled out directly through this app, ensuring that no eligible citizen is deprived of the right to vote.

To ensure the optimal use of modern technology, the Election Commission has launched the ‘ECI NET App,’ which every citizen is encouraged to download on their phone. Through this app, citizens can easily check their status on the voter list from the comfort of their homes by entering their Voter ID number and can also schedule a direct call with their local BLO for necessary assistance or guidance.

If a citizen’s name is not registered on the voter list, they can apply by filling out ‘Form-6’ via the same app, after which the relevant BLO promptly completes the subsequent legal procedures. The Election Commission’s ultimate goal is to ensure that no eligible citizen is deprived of the sacred right to vote and that every citizen actively participates in the democratic process by casting their vote.
