Appointment of Senior Journalist Padmakant Trivedi as Gujarat State President
Gandhinagar, Gujarat : Senior journalist and Director of ‘VR Line News Channel’, Padmakant Trivedi, has been appointed as the Gujarat State President of the Accredited Journalists Association. This marks the establishment of the association’s 22nd state unit. The announcement was made by National Executive Member Lakshman Patel, acting on the instructions of the National President.
Prominent senior journalist from Gujarat, Vipul Brahmbhatt, was also present on the occasion. The event was organized at the Brahmani Hall within the Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal campus and was attended by journalists from various districts across the state who hold government-recognized accreditation cards for daily, weekly, and fortnightly newspapers.
During the event, all the journalists present unanimously expressed their dedication to the organization and pledged to work together in close cooperation in the future. Padmakant Trivedi’s appointment was welcomed with enthusiastic applause.
Although the Chairman of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya could not attend the event due to unavoidable circumstances, he assured his continued support for the welfare of journalists. The office-bearers present pledged to address the various challenges faced by journalists by making representations at the highest levels, incorporating the collective views of the members.
The organization operates successfully across 20 Indian states and union territories under the leadership of National President Vijay Shankar Chaturvedi (Delhi) and Secretary General Kavadle Channappa (Karnataka). Gujarat has now become the 22nd state where an executive body of the association has been formed.
A grand event will be organized in the near future, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, for the oath-taking ceremony of the new office-bearers and to honor the journalists. Kuntalbhai Nimavat conducted the proceedings and expressed gratitude, while also inviting more accredited journalists and editors to join the organization. This event served to honor journalists who have made significant and sustained contributions to the field and clarified the organization’s future direction.
