Lured Through Fake Instagram Account, Ketan Allegedly Pushed Off Lohagad

Pune : A 5,053-page chargesheet filed by Pune Police has reportedly revealed chilling details in the high-profile Ketan Agrawal murder case, alleging that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary conspired to kill Ketan and that the fatal attack was carried out at Lohagad Fort in June 2026.

According to the police chargesheet, an alleged first attempt was made on June 14, but it failed. Investigators claim Ketan was later lured to Lohagad on June 18 through a fake Instagram account. The chargesheet alleges that Siya first pushed Ketan towards the edge of the hill, after which Chetan allegedly kicked him, causing him to fall down the hillside.

Police claim the location had been examined beforehand after the accused allegedly learned about an earlier fatal fall at the site. The investigation has also brought an unusual relationship angle into the case. According to police, Siya had allegedly married Chetan at a temple in Rajasthan in December 2025, months before her engagement to Ketan in Pune in February 2026.

Police allege that despite the engagement, Siya continued her relationship with Chetan, and the two, along with Chetan’s friend Ritesh Hange, allegedly discussed ways to eliminate Ketan. The chargesheet reportedly relies on witness statements, digital evidence, mobile-phone data, chats, photographs, call records and CCTV footage.

Police further allege that Chetan followed Siya to Lohagad while wearing a hoodie to conceal his identity, and that Siya took Ketan towards the edge before signalling Chetan. Ritesh, who police say was initially involved in the alleged conspiracy, reportedly refused to accompany them because of fears of arrest.

The court will now examine the chargesheet and evidence before formally framing charges against the accused. Siya, Chetan and Ritesh are currently lodged in Kherwadi Jail, according to the information provided. The allegations in the chargesheet are yet to be established in court, and the case will proceed through the judicial process.
