Shopian, J & K : Socio political activist Er. Maroof Ahmad Wani today held a fruitful meeting with the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Shopian, during which various issues and concerns confronting the transport community were discussed.

During the meeting, Er. Wani highlighted matters related to the welfare of transporters and stressed the need for addressing their genuine concerns through effective coordination between the concerned authorities and transport representatives.

He emphasised the importance of ensuring a supportive and hassle free environment for transport operators, while underlining the need for a responsive administrative mechanism to address issues faced by those associated with the transport sector.

Er. Wani also called for constructive engagement between the Transport Department and the transport community to facilitate the timely resolution of pending issues and improve the overall functioning of the sector.

The meeting was described as constructive, with an emphasis on dialogue, cooperation and addressing the genuine concerns of the transport fraternity in Shopian.

Er. Maroof Ahmad Wani reiterated his commitment to raising public issues and working towards the welfare of different sections of society.
