MID-AIR SCARE! Bird Strike Hits Air India Express Flight, All 148 Escape Unharmed

Bengaluru : An Air India Express flight from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru experienced a bird strike on Tuesday but landed safely at Kempegowda International Airport. All 148 passengers and crew members were reported safe, with no injuries.

Flight IX2065 was moved to a parking stand after landing, where ground engineers and technical teams began inspecting the aircraft for possible structural or engine damage as part of standard safety procedures.

In a separate incident on October 14, Air India flight AI-2030, operating from Frankfurt to Delhi, resumed its journey after a security scare prompted an emergency landing at Jaipur International Airport.

The aircraft landed in Jaipur at around 9:35 AM IST after transmitting Squawk 7500, the internationally recognised transponder code associated with unlawful interference or a suspected hijacking. Security agencies carried out a thorough sanitisation sweep, and the aircraft was cleared for departure after the Aerodrome Committee determined that the threat had been resolved.
