The 72nd National Film Awards turned into a proud celebration for Telugu cinema as blockbuster films Pushpa 2 : The Rule, Kalki 2898 AD, Committee Kurrollu, Lucky Baskhar, and 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu bagged major honours across multiple categories. The remarkable performance not only showcased the industry’s creative excellence but also drew heartfelt reactions from leading stars including Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Chiranjeevi, and Varun Tej, who hailed the achievements as a defining moment for Telugu cinema.
Among the biggest winners was Pushpa 2: The Rule, with acclaimed filmmaker Sukumar winning the National Award for Best Screenplay. The film also earned the Best Costume Design award for Deepali Noor and Sheetal Sharma, whose work helped create the iconic visual identity of the blockbuster. Production house Mythri Movie Makers celebrated the victories, praising the entire team for taking Telugu storytelling to new heights.
Allu Arjun congratulated winners from across Indian cinema while expressing immense pride in the achievements of the Pushpa 2 team and fellow Telugu filmmakers. He applauded Sukumar, Deepali Noor and Sheetal Sharma, while also extending wishes to Mammootty, Kartik Aaryan and Yami Gautam for their acting honours. The actor further celebrated Committee Kurrollu for winning Best Telugu Film, P. Ravi Kumar for Best Makeup, Kalki 2898 AD for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Production Design, Venky Atluri for Best Dialogues in Lucky Baskhar, and 35 – Chinna Katha Kaadu for winning Best Children’s Film and Best Child Artist.
