Jammu Kashmir : Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh visited the strategically important Northern Command theatre to review the prevailing operational environment and preparedness of the armed forces a defence spokesperson said on Wednesday.
During his visit, Air Chief Marshal Singh was briefed by General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, at the command headquarters in Udhampur.
The briefing covered key operational dynamics in the theatre as well as ongoing initiatives to strengthen inter-services synergy and jointness for the effective conduct of multi domain operations, the spokesperson said.
The CAS expressed confidence in the operational capabilities of the forces and highlighted the high level of coordination between the Western Air Command and Northern Command.
He said the exemplary jointness demonstrated by both commands at various levels, from strategic to tactical, would serve as an important benchmark for future operations.
Air Chief Marshal Singh also commended all ranks for their professionalism, commitment and unwavering dedication towards safeguarding the nation’s interests the spokesperson added.
