Srinagar, J & K : Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, reviewed the counter-terrorism grid in South Kashmir, where he was briefed on the prevailing security scenario and operational preparedness of the security forces.

During the review, the Army Commander took stock of the security situation and the operational readiness of the forces deployed in the region. He stressed the importance of maintaining a high degree of vigilance and preparedness to effectively respond to emerging security challenges.

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma emphasised adaptability, precision, sustained vigilance and synergy as key enablers for successful intelligence-driven counter-terrorism operations. He underlined the need for close coordination and a rapid response mechanism to address any emerging threats.

The Army Commander also interacted with troops deployed on the ground and appreciated their dedication, professionalism and indomitable spirit in carrying out their duties.

He commended the troops for their continued efforts towards keeping the region free of terror and contributing to peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.

The review comes as security forces continue to maintain a robust counter-terrorism posture across South Kashmir, with focus on intelligence-based operations, operational preparedness and effective coordination among security agencies.
