From Parliament March to Nadda Meeting : CJP Escalates NEET Protest

New Delhi : The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been spearheading protests over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak, met Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and submitted a memorandum outlining three major demands.

The CJP delegation, represented by Sourabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka, urged the Centre to take immediate action by accepting the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, securing the release of Sonam Wangchuk, and providing ₹1 crore as compensation to the families of candidates who allegedly lost their lives following the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.

The meeting came amid heightened political activity on the opening day of Parliament’s Monsoon Session, when the CJP organised its “Parliament Chalo” march in Delhi to press for its demands. Protesters attempted to march towards Parliament, leading to a tense confrontation with security forces.

According to the CJP, Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel used tear gas and force to disperse demonstrators, resulting in injuries to several protesters. The organisation alleged that its supporters were subjected to excessive police action during the march.

Delhi Police, however, stated that several police personnel were injured after protesters allegedly resorted to stone-pelting during the confrontation. Police also appealed to demonstrators to maintain peace and follow lawful procedures.

Despite the clashes and heightened security, the CJP maintained that its agitation would continue until its demands are addressed. The organisation said it remains committed to seeking accountability over the NEET-UG paper leak and justice for affected students and their families.
