Srinagar, J & K : Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth visited a Rashtriya Rifles Sector Headquarters under Chinar Corps and reviewed the operational preparedness of troops for counter terrorist operations in Kashmir.
During the visit, the COAS was briefed on the prevailing security situation and measures being undertaken to detect, deter and effectively respond to emerging terrorist threats.
General Seth commended the troops for their professionalism, commitment and high standards of operational preparedness.
He exhorted them to maintain constant vigilance, strengthen intelligence operations and retain the ability to respond swiftly and precisely to emerging threats.
The Army chief also stressed the need for seamless synergy and close coordination among all security stakeholders to enhance situational awareness and strengthen the overall counter-terror response.
During the visit COAS Commendations were pinned on deserving soldiers in recognition of their gallantry and exemplary service in counter terrorist operations.
General Seth emphasised the need to remain ahead of emerging threats, maintain relentless operational focus and ensure a coordinated and calibrated response while safeguarding the safety and security of the people.
