Mumbai, Maharashtra : Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) will launch the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign from the village of party founder Abhijeet Deepke in Hingoli district of Maharashtra from Independence Day. The aim of this campaign is to improve basic facilities in government schools in the village and fix the responsibility.
Talking to reporters after returning from Delhi, Deepke said, “I will start the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign from my village and request the sarpanch there to repair the local government school and ensure that basic facilities like benches and drinking water are available in the school.” He said, “We have formed several such teams which will go to the villages and urge the people and Sarpanches there to take steps to improve the condition of the schools, as we want to complete this work through collective participation.”
On a question about the Tiranga Yatra rally held in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deepke said, “Such rallies should be held on the occasion of our Independence Day, but along with that, attention should also be paid to education. Because we are getting videos in which girls are complaining that they have to walk seven kilometers to reach their schools and there is no road to go there.”
Earlier, announcing the campaign, Deepke had appealed to the Sarpanches of the respective villages to take the initiative to repair the government schools in their areas so that basic facilities are available for the students of these institutions. He also appealed to the villagers to visit the schools of their children and inform the CJP if there is any lack of facilities there.
Earlier, Deepke said in a post on social media, “Even after 80 years of independence, children in villages should not be made to beg for basic facilities in schools. As a country, we have let down children in villages a lot. On this Independence Day, CJP will launch the ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign to make government schools in villages better.”
