Jodhpur : The Indian Air Force (IAF) has commenced the operational phase of the multilateral air exercise Tarang Shakti 2026 at Air Force Station Jodhpur bringing together air forces from India and seven partner nations.
Being conducted from September 26 to October 12, 2026, the exercise is themed Power in Partnership highlighting the importance of cooperation, exchange of operational expertise and enhanced interoperability among participating air forces.
Seven Friendly Foreign Countries Australia, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, France, Germany, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are participating in the exercise alongside the IAF.
The exercise provides participating air forces an opportunity to undertake advanced joint training, share operational experiences and strengthen professional cooperation.
The operational phase at Jodhpur is expected to involve complex air operations aimed at enhancing interoperability between the participating forces.
Tarang Shakti 2026 builds on the inaugural edition held in 2024, further strengthening India’s engagement with partner air forces through multilateral training and professional exchanges.
The exercise underscores India’s growing emphasis on international defence cooperation and collaborative training to enhance preparedness and interoperability in the air domain.
